Hello everyone, I have a quick question about the Spring! Can you set a charge limit of 80% or something? I don't want my car to go all the way to 100%.

My charging routine is very relaxing! I usually just top up the battery with my timer and Schuko adapter. The best part is that the app allows me to stop charging whenever I need to. There will be no more waiting by the outlet for this baby!

It is not advisable to charge your battery up to 100% or even overcharge it, this lessens the lifespan of a battery and the maintenance/ replacement cost is pricey. It is better if you just charge it up to 80-90% at most, this is a tested and proven way to take care of your battery and making its lifespan last longer.

What I do when i first bought my car was to set a timer and check it regularly on how much time it takes to go from 20-100 and then i set another timer to know how long it takes for it to reach 80% it is a bit of a hassle but we can do impossible things if we really love our car and we want to prolong the lifespan of the battery.

I recently bought a new Dacia Spring and encountered the same issue. Since I’m a developer, I created a platform that lets users set a charge limit percentage, automatically stopping charging once the car reaches that level. I’m already using it on my Dacia, and I believe many others would find this useful, so I’m open to creating a website to make this feature accessible.

If anyone is interested, please get in touch, and you can try it out.

I’ve also added a feature for locating the car, which can be very helpful if it’s ever stolen.
